The Water Science Galleries

I'm glad you decided to visit the Water Science Galleries. This whole area is meant for casual browsing. We've got a picture collection about all aspects of water, a section of maps about national water use, and a library of water-use data for the U.S. in 1990.

Gallery 		Our ever-expanding gallery of pictures covers interesting topics such as irrigation systems, wastewater from a chicken farm, scientists really "getting into" sampling a muddy lake bottom, artesian wells, and much more.
Button: Map gallery Map
Gallery		 This gallery contains maps about water use in the United States in 1990. Maps are organized by the category of water use, such as domestic, industrial, power production, and irrigation. Data tables are available for each map.
Button: Data library Data
Library 		Every five years, the U.S. Geological Survey collects and compiles tons of data about how the nation uses water. Our data library contains tables of the water-use data, by category of use.
