About my job...

I am the Science Laboratory Technician of Phoenix College's Department of Chemistry. It's a great place to work or go to school. We have top notch faculty, courses and especially students.

Along with a dedicated and enthusiastic crew, I operate the chemistry laboratories. Here's what we do:

  • Handle and maintain Chemicals, Instruments and Apparatus.
  • Edit a series of custom Laboratory Manuals and various Online Documents
  • Coordinate Recitation, Tutoring with Instruction.
  • Enforce the Laws Of Science.
  • Other stuff as required

About me:

I'm a Sagitarian baby boomer born in Toledo, Ohio in the year of the Dragon.

My house is a small brick house dating from the ninteen twenties. It consists of six symetric rooms: A Front room and a Back room, a Light room and a Dark room, and a Kitchen and a Bathroom. Surrounding the house is a lush and wild garden. The links below will take you on a little tour:

This computer,

is an antique PowerMac 6100/60, in the chemistry department. It has been running, non-stop, since April 1995. The server software has been chosen and set up to maximize throughput, stability and flexibility. The software that delivers all this to you is:

Apple's Mac OS 8.6.1 This is version of Apple's System software runs well.
Starnine's Webstar 4.2 An excellent high volume web server.
Userland's Frontier 6.0 This special software provides dynamic content, interactivity and a database for all these pages.
Barebones' BBEdit 4.5 This versatile editor is indispensable to the site.
Macromedia's Dreamweaver 3 Much of the site has been designed using Dreamweaver.
