They're Talking About...
Police Obsession? Law Enforcement: Wed, Aug 2, 4:05 am ET "What's this obsession with the police people seem to have? I understand that when we make mistakes sometimes people die, and we have taken oaths to protect, not harm. So have doctors, but they maim, disfigure and kill people sometimes. Why isn't that national news? If the fire department doesn't make it in time to save your house, will you sue? Why all the special attention to police?" -- VINNY701
Retaining Our Recruits: U.S. Military: Mon, Aug 7, 5:09 am ET "How is the military going to keep good people in for the long haul? Does the Armed Forces chain of command have strategies for retention, and, if so, what are they? When will they realize that it doesn't make good business sense to spend a quarter-million dollars and two to four years to train someone, then pay them a non-living wage? You make an ongoing investment in your people, pay them enough to make their lives comfortable, and the return on your investment is beyond price." -- STRONZO1
