Searching for Scallop Pastry

"Recently I visited France, where I stayed in a Quality Inn Hotel. For dinner one evening, I was served an appetizer that was a flaky pastry filled with what seemed to be scallops. It also had a cream sauce which made it so much better. Does anyone have any ideas on what this scallop pastry could be and how to make it?" --SLAWRENCE22
