and final, news on the 'Skyspace' artwork
proposal, though we are in no way affiliated with the route's
organisers.
The 
Sea to
SeaBicycling Route
This lovely cycle-touring
route, crossing from the Irish Sea to the
North Sea over the smallest but wildest portion of
England, is
ideal for both novice and seasoned campaigner alike. Moving in an
easterly direction with the prevailing winds, the route's
organisers suggest that the hills of the
Lake
District and the North
Pennines of
Northumberland
are configured like waves on the shore, with short, steep climbs and
long graceful descents.

Green Cottages, our enchanted, converted
farmhouse, are idyllically situated above
SpartyLea deep in the heart of the
North Pennines, designated an area of
outstanding natural beauty. Located at the
centre of the C2C route, just down from the highest point (Black
Hill) of the journey at the top of England, we are happy, in the
neighbourly spirit of information for all, to provide useful
services for bicyclists of all ages.
