Vitamin D Sensitive Rickets

In the northeast of England, rickets was a common syndrome in the early years of the 20th century, because of the deficiency of Vitamin D in the diet of young children. It's almost a truism that everybody knows what it looks like; bandy or bow legged, and a sort of waddling gait. The first X-ray in the front page should clarify the picture.
