Season 15 Host Toast

Brian Hackney
Brian Hackney is a physicist, electrical engineer, and meteorologist,
in addition to being an award-winning science and environmental reporter.
This is his second season as a NEWTON'S APPLE co-host. He's done duty as a
weather anchor and science reporter for KNSD-TV in San Diego and KGO-TV
in San Francisco, and since November 1995 has been science editor at KRON-TV
in San Francisco. He's been nominated for 18 Emmy awards and won seven.
He's also won two Golden Mikes and two Press Club awards. Hackney is a
graduate of California Polytechnic University with B.S. degrees in both physics
and electrical engineering.

David Heil
This will be the ninth consecutive season in which David Heil has been a
co-host or host of NEWTON'S APPLE. A noted science educator, Heil has taught
school, done scientific research, trained teachers and scientists, developed
science curriculum and exhibits, and served on the boards of or advised many
national science organizations. For 12 years he developed and managed science
education programs, products, and services at the Oregon Museum of Science and
Industry in Portland. He's the author or editor of more than 20 publications and
multimedia products, including the award-winning elementary science curriculum
"Discover the Wonder."

Eileen Galindo
For its 14th season NEWTON'S APPLE welcomes Eileen Galindo as its newest co-host.
A native New Yorker, she wears a trio of different hats - actress, comedienne,
and writer. Her film and television credits include The Super (with Joe Pesci),
Law & Order, Loving, One Life to Live, Another World, and Unsolved Mysteries.
In addition to pursuing an acting career, Galindo regularly brings her comic
characters to life in New York comedy clubs. She also does freelance comedy
writing and works in arts advocacy, promoting equal employment opportunities
within the entertainment industry. She attended the University of Miami,
majoring in musical theater.

Dave Huddleston
Dave Huddleston is an award-winning TV journalist who loves the fun and
excitement of science discovery that comes with being a member of the
NEWTON'S APPLE team. He began his television journalism career at WKOW-TV
in Madison, Wis., and is currently a reporter and morning anchor at WCCO-TV
in Minneapolis/St. Paul. He's received many journalism honors, including the
Edward R. Murrow Award and the WEAC Education Award. In addition to appearing
on NEWTON'S APPLE, Huddleston participates in science-education outreach
programs. He has a B.A. in journalism from Washington State University.
This is his second season on the award-winning science show.

SuChin Pak
SuChin Pak embarks on her second season as a co-host of NEWTON'S APPLE.
She's currently a senior in political science at the University of
California at Berkeley. During the summer of 1996, she got a taste of
Hollywood working two internships - one as a production intern for the
daytime The Newlywed Game, and the other as an intern in the public
relations department of Columbia Pictures Television Distribution.
She was born in Seoul, Korea, and grew up in San Francisco. She became
involved in television while participating in Youth in Government, a YMCA program.
This led to her being hired to host and do interviews on
"Straight Talk'n Teens," a KGO-TV show.
