6/5/2000 Exciting new ASE books ! .........for the classroom...

Creative Trespass : Fusing Science and Poetry in the Classroom . Science and poetry are so often caricatured as being at the opposite ends of the cultural spectrum, but this book aims to prove otherwise by exploring the conjunction between the two and fusing the use of poetry with school science.

Star* : Science, Technology and Reading   How many children have ever been invited to sing and dance to science? To view it lyrically ? To breathe poetic life into it ? Is there any real reason that the arts and science cannot feed into and inspire each other ?  This book, featuring poems by Michael Rosen, contains background scientific knowledge and suggestions for suitable education activities. It is not intended to be prescriptive, but rather to encourage new ways of teaching across the primary curriculum.
